Pulsar – Operations and Maintenance is a consortium created with AtkinsRéalis and Alstom to operate and maintain the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) in Montreal. Ultimately, the REM project will become one of the most extensive automated transportation networks in the world, with 67 kilometers of track and 26 stations. Born from the combined expertise of two major players in the transportation sector, Pulsar draws on proven know-how and experience both in Canada and internationally.

Lead the media relations and passenger information teams, overseeing timely, accurate, and consistent operational communications across channels during routine service and disruptions. Serve as a spokesperson, advise senior leaders, coordinate communications with REM partners, and improve communication processes, tools, and performance measures.

Install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair building electrical systems and equipment, including distribution panels, transformers, motors, lighting, controls, UPS systems, and generators. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, update electrical plans and maintenance records, verify contractor work, and complete inspection and repair reports and CMMS work orders.

Inspect and maintain railway tracks and corridor infrastructure, including snow and ice removal, vegetation and drainage control, and operation of specialized rail-road vehicles. Coordinate track access and safety protections with the control center, document inspections and work orders in the maintenance system, and support emergency response while following safety and quality procedures.

Manage the procurement of materials, components, and services for infrastructure maintenance and investment projects while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Collaborate with financial, legal, and operational departments to define needs, estimate costs, and manage supplier relationships.
