We're looking for a dedicated Janitor to join our Chocolate Factory team in Vancouver, BC. This is a six-month contract position with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent full-time role based on performance. What You'll Do As a Janitor, you'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient facility while supporting our commitment to quality and food safety. Your responsibilities will include: Following all company GMP, SQF, and food safety policies and procedures Carrying out responsibilities identified in the Purdys Quality Management System, including required documentation and quality checks Cleaning production and common areas throughout the facility Removing garbage and recycling materials daily Completing preventative maintenance tasks and maintaining accurate records Supporting workplace safety initiatives and helping identify potential hazards Assisting with other duties as required You Are a Great Fit If You: Are available to work Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM Communicate effectively in spoken and written English Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team environment Have excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Can complete neat, accurate, and legible records and reports Are physically capable of performing janitorial and cleaning duties Take direction well and work effectively with a variety of people Hold an OFA Level 2 or Level 3 certificate (considered an asset) Why You'll Love Working at Purdys Employee discount on delicious Purdys chocolate Employee Referral Program with cash rewards A supportive team environment where everyone contributes to creating incredible Purdys moments Opportunities to learn, grow, and develop your skills The potential to be considered for a permanent full-time position based on performance Important Information This is a unionized work environment.
