Role Description The Commodity Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Leamington, ON, responsible for balancing supply and demand for greenhouse-grown commodities. This role includes analyzing sales forecasts, production plans, and market trends to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste. The Commodity Planner coordinates closely with supply chain, operations, and sales teams to schedule product allocations, manage order fulfillment, and maintain accurate data in planning systems. Daily tasks involve monitoring commodity performance, adjusting plans based on actuals, preparing reports, and communicating updates to internal stakeholders to support reliable and efficient product availability. Qualifications Strong demand planning and forecasting skills for agricultural or fast-moving consumer goods. Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools. Effective communication skills for collaborating with operations, sales, and logistics teams. Experience with supply chain operations and inventory management in a production or distribution environment. Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, agriculture, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work on-site in Leamington, ON, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with ERP or planning systems and comfort working with time-sensitive data. Experience in produce, agriculture, or food manufacturing environments is an asset.
