Description Hours of work: Saturday - Tuesday 12:00PM - 8:30PM (30 min unpaid break), 32 Hours Per week Wage: $23.63 per hour. Top Rate is $29.23 as per collective agreement. Location: 3700 Jericho Road, Richmond BC The PM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.Responsibilities Forklift and power pallet jack use Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucksUnload freight off conveyor or chute for load-outLoad freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailerPreload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehiclesManually transfer bulk or non-conveyable itemsScan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery. Experience Forklift and power pallet jack certification an asset, but not required. Company will train. Specialized education is not required.No experience necessary.Skills Distribution CentersLanguage Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
