Purple Otter designs data systems for mission-driven organizations: nonprofits, foundations, and grantmakers.
Most of the organizations we work with have good data spread across systems that don't talk to each other. Donor and grant records live in one place, program data in another, and the numbers never quite match. We help get it all into one place your team can actually use, so you can know your supporters, trust your reporting, and stop re-typing the same thing twice.
Salesforce has been at the heart of our work for years, and it still is. We design, build, rescue, and support Salesforce for organizations like Oxfam, Habitat for Humanity, Human Rights Watch, and Omidyar Network. Alongside that, we connect the other systems our clients rely on, build data warehouses and reporting, and are currently piloting AI tools that take some of the digging off people's plates. We take AI seriously and skip the hype.
We're a small, senior team, so the people building your system have done this many times before. Some clients come to us because something isn't working, and others because they want to try something new. Either way, we start with what your organization is trying to do, and we work with everyone who has a stake in it: the executive director, the development and program leads, the data manager, finance. Good systems only stick when the whole organization is on board.
We're fully distributed across Canada and the US, and we're in it for the long swim.
Unlock your data. Make waves.
