Oracle Hyperion Developer

Role: Hyperion Developer Location: Hybrid – 3 Days per Week On-Site- Toronto, ON Duration: 12 Months Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Hyperion Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Hyperion Planning and Performance Testing to support the testing, validation, and optimization of Hyperion applications across DEV and QAT environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring environment consolidation and streamlining efforts do not negatively impact users, business processes, system performance, or ongoing testing activities. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed test cases for DEV and QAT environment validation. Create scripts for: Parallel testing Stress testing Performance testing Compare execution times between current and consolidated environments. Validate existing Hyperion: Processes Calculations Business Rules Data Loads Integrations Reports Test system performance under: Normal workloads Peak workloads Concurrent user workloads Validate batch jobs, scheduled processes, and end-user activities. Identify timeout, performance, stability, and capacity-related issues. Analyze whether issues originate from: Scripts Application configuration Infrastructure capacity Environmental changes Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis during testing activities. Document test results, findings, risks, recommendations, and remediation actions. Provide recommendations regarding: CPU requirements Memory allocation Storage requirements System configuration adjustments Validate that consolidated environments meet business and operational requirements. Confirm environment stability and readiness prior to business sign-off. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning. Experience testing and validating Hyperion applications and environments. Expertise in performance, stress, and parallel testing methodologies. Strong understanding of: Hyperion calculations Business Rules Data Loads Integrations Reporting processes Experience validating batch jobs and scheduled processes. Ability to identify and troubleshoot system performance and capacity issues. Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills. Experience evaluating application, infrastructure, and environmental performance impacts. Strong documentation and reporting skills.

The Hyperion Developer will develop detailed test cases for validation in DEV and QAT environments and create scripts for various testing methodologies. They will also validate existing Hyperion processes and ensure environment stability prior to business sign-off.

Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning and expertise in performance, stress, and parallel testing methodologies. They should also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to document findings and recommendations.
