For more details, visit: Website or LinkedIn Page Role: Senior Cloud Engineer Experience: 5+ years Work Location: Remote (Canada) Employment type: Full-time What you will do: Strategic Leadership: Lead strategic discussions with client stakeholders to define the end-to-end migration roadmap, including target state architecture, cloud platform selection, and integration patterns. Technical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of the existing on-premise VMware infrastructure to identify architectural challenges, inter-dependencies, and potential migration risks, providing expert recommendations for mitigation. Architecture & Governance: Establish and govern a set of cloud architecture principles and migration best practices. Author and maintain technical design documents that enforce security, scalability, and operational excellence. Security & Network Design: Design and implement robust cloud network and security frameworks, integrating solutions like Palo Alto to protect migrated workloads and ensure seamless connectivity between on-premise and cloud environments. Migration Execution: Actively participate in and oversee the hands-on execution of migrating virtual machines and complex application workloads to the designated public cloud platforms (ROSA, AWS, Azure, GCP). Basic Qualifications (BQ): Demonstrable, in-depth experience architecting solutions across multiple major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP). Extensive, hands-on experience leading and executing large-scale VMware-to-public-cloud transformation projects. Expert-level knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms, with specific experience in OpenShift Container Platform and container migration strategies. Strong proficiency in designing and implementing cloud network security controls, with specific experience using Palo Alto Networks solutions in a cloud context. Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Other Qualifications (OQ): Professional-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
