Cyber Security Architect

Title: Cyber Security Solutions Architect Location: Remote Duration: August 17th 2026 - December 31st 2027 Clearance: Must have a valid or be eligible for Secret Level Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Cyber Resilience Transformation Program: Provide cybersecurity and technology risk advisory services to support business objectives. Assess cloud and on-premises architectures to ensure secure, compliant, and risk-based technology solutions. Identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps across applications, infrastructure, and emerging technologies, including AI. Develop and maintain security standards, policies, controls, and secure design patterns aligned with industry best practices. Support cloud security, DevSecOps, secure SDLC, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security testing activities. Advise on risk mitigation strategies and the secure adoption of AI-enabled solutions. Translate technical risks into business impacts and provide actionable recommendations. Prepare executive-level reports, security documentation, and governance artifacts. Support implementation and adoption of security controls across teams and platforms. Provide security expertise, workshops, and knowledge transfer to technical and business stakeholders. Perform other related duties as required. Required Qualifications & Skills University Degree or College Diploma in computer science,information security, engineering, or a related field A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience in information technology or cyber security A minimum of three (3) years of recent demonstrated experience as a Cyber SecurityArchitect or senior security specialist in complex, regulated environments Demonstrated experience assessing current-state security posture and defining target-state security architectures Demonstrated experience designing and governing securitycontrols (e.g., IAM, network security,data protection, logging and monitoring) Demonstrated experience identifying security,risk, and compliance control gaps and recommending risk-based improvements Demonstrated experience developing security standardsand reusable securityarchitecture artifacts (reference architectures, patterns, building blocks) Additional Qualifications Demonstrated strong knowledge of cyber securityand risk frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53/61/92, and ISO/IEC 27001/27002 Demonstrated knowledge with enterprise and security architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF,SABSA) Demonstrated experience aligning securityarchitectures with regulatory and supervisory expectations (e.g., financial services risk management) Demonstrated knowledge of third-party and risk management practices Relevant certifications would be considered an asset (e.g.,CCSP, CISSP, CISM,AWS/Azure security certifications).

The Cyber Security Architect will provide cybersecurity and technology risk advisory services, assess architectures for security compliance, and develop security standards aligned with best practices. The role also involves advising on risk mitigation strategies and translating technical risks into business impacts.

Candidates must have a university degree or college diploma in a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in information technology or cybersecurity. Additionally, three years of experience as a Cyber Security Architect in complex environments is required.
