Job summary
Title: Software Safety Engineer Location: GTA Duration: 1 year Qualifications 5+ years of software safety experience in a safety-critical development environment, preferably in aerospace. Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science Experience performing safety/hazard assessments and analyses on projects involving complex electromechanical systems with a significant software component. Experience performing software criticality analysis Experience developing product software safety requirements to meet customer and mission requirements Experience performing trade-off studies to ensure the requirements are the right requirements Experience working with design, systems engineering and software groups to ensure that safety-related inputs are incorporated into the design. Experience analyzing safety-critical software documentation and source code for safety Experience analyzing reused software for safety Experience defending safety decisions to internal and external customers Experience contributing to System Safety Analysis Reports Experience presenting safety designs at safety review panels
