Role: Excel Specialist (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $40 - $55/hour Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Excel Expert to work on a contract basis. The role involves creating and maintaining complex financial models, automating reporting processes, and ensuring data accuracy across financial systems. You will support cross-functional teams by delivering high-quality spreadsheets and dashboards that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain sophisticated Excel financial models, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis. • Develop automated reporting solutions using Excel VBA macros and Power Query to reduce manual effort. • Validate and cleanse financial data to ensure integrity and consistency across datasets. • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions. • Document processes, formulas, and assumptions to ensure reproducibility and transparency. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation. • Experience writing and debugging VBA macros to automate repetitive tasks. • Strong understanding of financial modeling principles and Excel’s Power Query/Pivot tools. • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional spreadsheet solutions. • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial data and calculations.
