Job summary

Role: Information Security Specialist (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $60 - $100/hour Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an InfoSec Expert to work on a contract basis. This role will focus on maintaining robust security protocols, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing solutions to protect sensitive data across all systems. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks. • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Monitor security systems and respond to incidents, including investigating breaches and implementing corrective actions. • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into system development and deployment processes. • Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to reduce human-related security risks. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls is required. • Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS is required. • Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems is required. • Familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2 is required. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex security logs and reports.
