Financial Controller/CPA Accountant Located In Toronto's Leslieville (Downtown East) In Office We are hiring on behalf of our client, a successful family-owned commercial real estate organization with a diversified portfolio of operating businesses (Not just real estate). They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller/CPA Accountant to oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial management across multiple entities. Salary: $115,000 to $140,000 Salary Experience: Minimum 5 years post-CPA Language: English Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, audits, and compliance reporting. Maintain accurate financial records and oversee internal controls. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis. Manage month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. Oversee bookkeeping functions including AP, AR, payroll, tax filings, and government reporting. Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide financial recommendations. Analyze tax implications and ensure timely filings. Report financial insights to ownership and senior leadership. Maintain relationships with external accountants, auditors, lenders, and insurance partners. Qualifications CPA designation required. (MUST BE CANADIAN CPA) Minimum five years of post-CPA experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Yardi, and QuickBooks. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
