Cybersecurity and Network Security Administrator The Security Administrator will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization's cybersecurity program. This role will work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, Business Systems, external Security Operations Centre (SOC) partners, and business leaders to identify risks, investigate security incidents, implement security controls, and support strategic cybersecurity initiatives. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Security operations and incident response Investigate security alerts and incidents. Coordinate with the SOC/MSSP. Improve detection and response processes. Administer email, endpoint and cloud security controls. Network and security infrastructure Administer enterprise firewalls, VPNs and segmentation. Review firewall policies and support migrations. Secure routing, switching and remote connectivity. Microsoft cloud and identity security Manage Entra ID, Conditional Access and identity protection. Support Defender, Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls. Assist with DLP and information protection. Governance and security projects Conduct risk assessments and architecture reviews. Develop standards and documentation. Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures and technical baselines. Support Fabric, Purview and AI governance initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: Five or more years of progressive IT experience, including at least three years in cybersecurity, network security or infrastructure security. Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewalls, VPNs, segmentation and network security controls. Experience securing Microsoft 365, Entra ID or Azure environments. Experience investigating security alerts or incidents. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs and identity security. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce technical documentation and practical remediation recommendations. Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and modern Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles. Experience securing SaaS applications and cloud workloads. Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms and security assessment tools. Formal security policy development. DLP implementation. Microsoft purview and Fabric. AI security and governance. Defender for Cloud Apps. Experience implementing or supporting Information Protection or Data Governance solutions. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Microsoft Security certifications, Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE) are considered strong assets. COMPENSATION: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
