Maintenance Technician Tomlinson's Materials Group is looking for skilled individuals to join the Maintenance Crew. Vacancy Type: New Location: Ottawa and other site locations DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operating a torch and stick welder Replacing plant components such as bearings, idlers, pulleys, belts, and sheaves Repairing or replacing guarding Repairing or building walkways and stairways Replacing crusher and chute wear liners Aligning equipment and installing bearing using specialized tools such as lasers, micrometers, and calipers Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic power units Identify the root cause of failures and implement a thorough repair solution Attention to detail and critical thinking are necessary for this position Utilizing manual dexterity, problem solving skills and attention to detail REQUIREMENTS: Valid G driver license Ability to travel occasionally outside the Ottawa area to different site locations Capable of operating a service truck as required Ability to work well with others General knowledge of processing plant equipment Ability to work quickly, efficiently and in a safe manner WORKING CONDITIONS: Work performed in an industrial aggregate and materials processing environment. Frequent exposure to dust, noise, vibration, moving equipment, and varying weather conditions. Regular climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and working at heights. Use of welding, cutting, grinding, and other powered tools and equipment. Exposure to grease, oils, hydraulic fluids, and other industrial materials. COMPENSATION INFORMATION: The expected wage range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
