Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist Duration: 1.5 year Optional Extension: 6 months Security Clearance: Consultant must have the ability to obtain: Reliability Status (required) – processed by the CLIENT if selected to hire ) (Consultant must reside in Canada for a minimum of 5 years to be eligible to apply for Canada Secret Security Clearance.) Work Location: Remote JOB DESCRIPTION: The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following Services to the Bank: Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Collateral Management Application Services: • Review the automation framework and practices already adopted by the application support team and recommend improvements, where needed • Facilitate discussions on new testing toolchain, technologies and automation practices including potential AI-enabled testing approaches • Develop and implement QA automation scripts to accelerate the adoption of QA automation, leveraging manual test cases, regression scenarios, and performance testing requirements • Contribute to other quality assurance areas including manual testing, integration testing and performance testing • Enhance the quality and reliability of operational procedures by strengthening automated test coverage, ensuring test data readiness, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines • Perform other related activities and deliverables as required Required Qualifications & Skills: The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills: • A minimum of eight (8) years of recent demonstrated work experience in testing web applications, third-party applications and system integrations • A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing, maintaining, deploying, and executing automated test scripts. • Demonstrated experience in test automation frameworks such as Cypress • Demonstrated experience in DevOps (Source code control, Continuous Integration) tools such as Jenkins • Demonstrated experience analyzing test results, troubleshooting automation failures, and improving test stability Additional Qualifications: The following will also be considered: • Experience with test management and reporting tools such as Allure TestOps • Knowledge of integration testing and API testing tools such as Postman • Demonstrated experience with AI-enabled development or testing tools such as GitHub Copilot • Demonstrated experience working in a financial services, regulated, or mission-critical application environment would be considered an asset

The Consultant will review the automation framework and practices, recommend improvements, and develop QA automation scripts. They will also enhance operational procedures by strengthening automated test coverage and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.

The Consultant should have at least eight years of experience in testing web applications and five years in developing automated test scripts. Experience with test automation frameworks, DevOps tools, and analyzing test results is also required.
