Job details

Company Description RainCity Analytics is a health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) consultancy that combines rigorous science with robust methodology to deliver evidence that influences decisions in medicine, market access, and public health. Our multidisciplinary team of biostatisticians, HEOR specialists, and pharmacists brings together academic depth and practical consulting experience to support pharmaceutical companies, global health agencies, and multilateral organizations. We apply advanced analytical methods to generate clear, actionable insights that inform medical strategies, payer decisions, and policy development. By transforming complex data into compelling evidence and narratives, we help clients shape clinical guidelines, improve patient access, and drive better health outcomes. Role Description The Associate Director, Health Economics is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. This role leads the design and execution of health economic and outcomes research projects, including cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, and real-world evidence studies. The Associate Director oversees project teams, mentors junior staff, and ensures methodological rigor, clear communication, and timely delivery of client-ready deliverables. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing study protocols and analysis plans, supervising data management and statistical modeling, and translating results into concise reports, manuscripts, and presentations. The role also involves client engagement, proposal development, and collaboration with cross-functional experts to support market access strategies and policy-relevant evidence generation. Qualifications Advanced training in health economics, outcomes research, biostatistics, epidemiology, pharmaco-economics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s or PhD strongly preferred). Proven experience leading HEOR projects, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling, real-world data analyses, and evidence synthesis for market access or policy applications. Proficiency with relevant analytical tools and software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Excel-based models) and strong quantitative, statistical, and methodological skills. Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including clinical, payer, and policy stakeholders. Experience managing project teams, mentoring staff, and coordinating multiple projects with tight timelines and high quality standards. Strong communication and collaboration skills, including client-facing experience and the ability to build trusted relationships with external partners. Track record of scientific dissemination (e.g., peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or technical reports) in health economics or related disciplines. Familiarity with pharmaceutical development, market access, and payer decision-making processes; experience working with global health agencies or multilateral organizations is an asset. Commitment to rigorous, ethical research practices and openness to multidisciplinary, curiosity-driven collaboration.
