IT Business Decision Support Consultant - (MDM Mass Migration Project Support)

Pay Rate: $52.38/hour, depending on experience Contract Length: 6 months with a possible extension to 1 Year Location: Burnaby, British Columbia Raise is currently hiring an IT Business Decision Support Consultant - (MDM Mass Migration Project Support) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable. Description IT Business Decision Support Consultant will join our clients team in support of the upcoming MDM Mass Migration Project. In this role, you will be accountable for gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements, steering process mapping, and ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors. You will act as a bridge between technical execution and business operations, driving high-quality documentation and providing vital ongoing support for our enterprise mobile device infrastructure and Microsoft ecosystems. Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Produce high-quality project documentation, including Governance documents, Process Impact Assessments, Process Maps, Business Requirements, Functional/Non-Functional Requirements, Use Cases, and Requirements Traceability Matrices. Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead and facilitate collaborative workshops with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and implementation consultants to analyze business needs and ensure design solutions satisfy project objectives. Migration & Interface Coordination: Liaise with internal/external teams and vendors on data migration and system interface activities to track dependencies, communicate requirements, and manage scope changes via change logs. Testing & Quality Assurance: Assist with testing phases by creating test plans, test scenarios/scripts, and test reports to verify that business and functional requirements are thoroughly met. Project Transition & Support: Provide ongoing clarification to development, user experience, training, and testing teams. Assist the Project Manager with planning phases and ensure a smooth transition to sustainment teams. Change Management: Create change management artifacts, such as Stakeholder Impact Analysis, approaches, and training materials, to support rollout activities. Qualifications 5 years of business analysis working experience in medium to large IT projects within a complex enterprise environment. Demonstrated proficiency in operating, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Android and Apple (iOS/iPadOS) mobile devices and tablets, including diagnosing hardware, software, connectivity, and application issues. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint (document management, permissions, collaboration) and enterprise-level support for Microsoft 365 applications and services. Advanced technical business analysis skills; excellent facilitation, coordination, and interpersonal skills; intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint); and superior written and spoken communication skills. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Intune MDM and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions. Knowledge of mobile security, compliance controls, conditional access, and device lifecycle management. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). ITIL Foundation certification or practical experience within an IT service management framework. Experience using Working knowledge of the public sector or utilities industry, business/technology landscape, and Project Delivery Methodology (ITDSP). Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Information Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment. Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. The consultant will gather and manage business requirements, lead stakeholder workshops, and oversee process mapping for an MDM mass migration project. They will also coordinate data migration activities and create change management artifacts to ensure a smooth transition to sustainment teams.

Candidates need 5 years of business analysis experience in large IT projects and proficiency in supporting Android and Apple mobile devices. A bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or Engineering is required, along with expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
