They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a market leading financial institution Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable. Description The Software Developer (SAP Specialist) to join our clients Technology Development team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Complex Lending Phase 2 initiative, designing and scaling high-efficiency backend services, CDS views, and modern Fiori user experiences for enterprise financial lifecycle systems. The purpose of this role is to design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improves applications across the entire software development lifecycle to optimize user experience and workflows. Responsibilities Solution Design & Feature Delivery: Design, code, unit test, and integrate modern SAP backend features and user-facing applications as defined by Product Owners and cross-functional Agile teams. Complex Lending Phase 2 Focus: Build scalable SAP Core Data Services (CDS) Views, Adobe PDF Forms, and OData services to model complex commercial and retail lending lifecycles (Billing Items, Open Items, Payment Distribution, Pricing, Financial Conditions). Fiori & User Experience: Develop, extend, and optimize modern SAP Fiori applications to streamline internal banking operations and client-facing workflows. Production Support & Continuous Improvement: Provide level-2/level-3 production support for critical SAP banking modules, troubleshoot issue tickets, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize operational performance. Quality Assurance & Testing: Assist in building automated test harnesses and integration scripts to ensure resilient, high-quality code releases. Integrations & Interfaces: Architect and manage APIs and enterprise web services to seamlessly integrate SAP systems with disparate banking tools and microservices. Agile & Process Optimization: Update progress daily in tracking tools (Jira, ServiceNow, SmartSheets) and participate in active ideation, design thinking, and sprint planning sessions. Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate architectural blueprints, interface specs, deployment guides, and maintenance logs for compliance and internal knowledge sharing. Qualifications 4 to 5 years is the minimum amount in the TRBK system,withoveral experience as a senior developer 10 years. Core Technical Skills & Specializations SAP ABAP Programming: Demonstrable experience writing clean, high-performance ABAP/4 code, Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), and performance tuning. SAP CDS Views (Core Data Services): Expert-level experience constructing, extending, and maintaining CDS views with annotations for analytical and transactional applications. SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 Development: Experience building, customizing, and deploying modern SAP Fiori applications and OData service consumption. Services Creation & API Management: Experience creating, maintaining, and extending REST/SOAP web services, Gateway OData services, and integration APIs. PDF Forms Creation: Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting SAP Interactive Forms by Industry & Domain Expertise Financial Product Lifecycle Experience: Proven history working within banking or financial services software, specifically handling: Open Items & Billing Items Payment Distribution Pricing & Financial Conditions Engine Commercial / Complex Lending Processes Specific Competency & Skill Requirements Development & Coding Full Stack & Frameworks: Modern programming concepts, OO design patterns Web Services & Web App Dev: RESTful APIs, SOAP, Gateway OData, Fiori UX. Tools & SCM: Git, SAP Change and Transport System (CTS), modern IDEs. Technical Architecture Integration Component Design: Connecting disparate systems/devices. Designing for Non-Functional Requirements: Scalability, low latency, security. Solution Design Risk Assessment: System integration & API management. Application Lifecycle Application architecture design & continuous technical analysis. Automated test harness definition, unit test execution, and CI/CD pipelines. Production support, troubleshooting, and patch release workflows. Business Fundamentals Client-centric problem solving & value creation. Project framing, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and business case contribution. Agile/Waterfall fluency with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, SmartSheets. Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. General Programming: Working knowledge in one or more general-purpose languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C/C++, PHP). Certifications (Bonus): SAP Certified Development Associate (ABAP / Fiori / CDS Views) or AWS/Azure cloud certifications.
