About the Role We are currently seeking a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) to support engineering and infrastructure initiatives in the Kootenay region. This role combines technical engineering work, project support, and field engagement, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to the planning, design, and execution of important operational and capital projects. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise, mentor junior staff, and support field operations while ensuring engineering work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards. This position is well suited for an engineer who enjoys both technical design work and hands-on field involvement, and who values working closely with project teams to deliver practical engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and mentorship to designers, drafters, and members of the Engineering team. Deliver engineering services including design, calculations, technical assessments, reporting, sketches, field reviews, and quality reviews. Manage engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring successful delivery and coordination with project stakeholders. Prepare cost estimates and technical inputs to support project planning and Asset Management initiatives. Review and prepare technical drawings and engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Conduct site surveys, inspections, and field reviews to support project development and operational needs. Provide hands-on technical support to field personnel across both Operations and Project teams. What We Are Looking For Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Electrical, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering. Ability and willingness to work on-site in Castlegar, BC. Commitment to the role for a minimum of one year. Valid driver’s license required, with occasional travel throughout the Kootenay region. Compensation & Benefits The estimated pay range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training. Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive bonus program or the comprehensive benefits package offered by RAM Consulting.
