About the Opportunity RAM Consulting is building its civil infrastructure team and is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Senior Civil Engineers with a strong background in municipal and utility infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity for a senior technical leader who enjoys combining hands-on engineering with mentorship, client engagement, and project leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering civil engineering solutions across a range of infrastructure and utility projects, while also helping to support the growth and development of RAM’s civil team. We are particularly interested in individuals who bring deep experience in water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure, along with the technical credibility and leadership presence to act as Engineer of Record, guide project teams, and contribute to client-facing pursuits. What You’ll Be Working On As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across municipal and utility infrastructure projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders to deliver practical, high-quality civil solutions from concept through detailed design and construction support. Key Responsibilities Provide senior technical expertise on municipal and utilities infrastructure projects as Engineer of Record Lead and support project teams in the delivery of civil engineering solutions Interface directly with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical guidance, and support successful project execution Complete field reviews, site assessments, and construction-related reviews as required Lead or support the preparation of detailed civil designs, technical reports, construction packages, and cost estimates Review and provide technical oversight on civil engineering design packages, including signing and sealing IFC packages Perform analysis using software and tools relevant to water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure Contribute civil engineering expertise within multi-disciplinary project teams Support the development of proposals, project pursuits, and technical submissions Mentor Intermediate Engineers and Engineers-in-Training, including supporting professional development planning and technical growth Help build and strengthen RAM’s civil engineering team through technical leadership, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing Represent RAM in technical presentations, client meetings, and industry events as needed What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a senior civil engineering professional who brings a strong combination of technical depth, leadership capability, and client-facing experience. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable leading engineering work, mentoring others, and contributing to the continued growth of a high-performing civil team. Ideal Candidate Requirements 15+ years of civil engineering experience focused on municipal and utility infrastructure projects Registered as a P.Eng. with EGBC and/or APEGA Strong experience acting as Engineer of Record on complex civil infrastructure projects Proven ability to lead project teams and provide technical oversight through design and delivery Experience working on water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects Experience building, mentoring, or developing technical teams Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings, present technical information, and build trusted relationships Strong project coordination and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams Experience in stormwater design and hydraulic modelling is considered an asset A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the initiative and leadership to help build a strong civil practice and deliver large-scale infrastructure work Compensation & Benefits The estimated annual base salary for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training. Requirements
