The Opportunity: As a Hazmat Responder you will be joining the Field Operations Team in our Response Division, providing impeccable service to a dynamic group of companies. You will be responsible for you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials. You should have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and excellent problem-solving skills. We have a diverse portfolio of projects going on in various locations, you should be flexible to relocate frequently. Responsibilities: • Perform hazardous material spill response and cleanup activities following established protocols and regulations. • Safely operate specialized equipment and tools used in hazmat cleanup and containment. • Conduct site assessments to determine the nature and extent of hazardous materials present. • Implement appropriate containment, mitigation, and disposal procedures to minimize environmental impact. • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergency response situations. • Maintain accurate records of materials handled, actions taken, and cleanup processes. • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with hazmat regulations and best practices. • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of hazmat response equipment. • Shop maintenance Qualifications: • Valid Driver's Licence • Clean Driver's Abstract • Certification in hazardous material handling – HAZWOPER 40hour/NFPA 1072 Hazmat Operations • Prior experience in handling hazardous materials, spill response, or related fields is preferred • Strong understanding of federal, provincial, and local regulations related to hazardous materials Compensation: Hourly $30-$35 Overtime LOA Schedule: Full time Overtime Day Shift Night Shift On Call Weekend Availability Travel Vacation: 2 weeks Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package RRSP Program Onsite Parking If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team atmosphere, please submit your resume and cover letter by email to: careers@ramoperations.ca We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a clean abstract and hold certifications such as HAZWOPER 40-hour or NFPA 1072 Hazmat Operations. Prior experience in hazardous material handling or spill response is preferred, along with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
