Advantages Pharmacy Assistant - Temporary Assignment with Extension Potential - Full-Time Hours - The Beaches Area GTA - Healthcare Competitive hourly pay rate of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour (commensurate with Kroll proficiency and billing experience). Predictable Monday to Friday daytime schedule (between the hours of 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM). Optional Saturday shifts potential (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM) but not mandatory. Initial intended assignment of 8-weeks with potential for extension. Supportive, established independent community pharmacy environment. Convenient, accessible location in Toronto's East End. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day pharmacy administrative workflows, including incoming faxes, patient emails, and phone inquiries. Receive, inspect, verify, and log daily wholesaler pharmaceutical shipments (involving light physical handling up to approximately 25 lbs). Monitor and record vaccine refrigeration temperatures twice daily in compliance with health standards. Coordinate patient prescription delivery schedules and outgoing logistics. Maintain digital patient records, scan documents, and execute accurate data entry in Kroll. Assist with prescription intake and third-party insurance billing and adjudication (ODB and private plans). Deliver proactive operational and dispensing support to the Pharmacy team. Qualifications Must-Haves: Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, current enrollment as a Pharmacy Technician student, or background as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA). Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Kroll pharmacy management software. Experience with prescription data entry and handling routine pharmacy workflows. Strong communication, organizational, and patient-service skills. Physical ability to manage orders and stock up to approximately 25 lbs. Nice-to-Haves: Practical experience handling prescription billing and adjudication through ODB and private insurance plans. Fluency in Farsi is an asset to serve the local patient demographic, but is not mandatory.
