Job summary
Senior Program Manager – 16-Month Contract We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in the insurance industry. This role is based in Montreal or Toronto, with a hybrid work model requiring two days per week in the office. The successful candidate will oversee a financial controls transformation program across Canada, the US, and the UK and Ireland. Working closely with senior finance leaders and regional Project Managers, this person will coordinate multiple workstreams and provide clear reporting on overall program progress. Responsibilities: Lead the overall program focused on reviewing, improving and automating financial controls. Coordinate regional Project Managers and workstreams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines and deliverables. Monitor program progress, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating concerns and supporting timely resolution. Consolidate updates from regional teams and maintain consistent reporting across the program. Prepare clear, concise executive reports highlighting progress, key risks and decisions required. Work closely with senior finance leaders and subject-matter experts to support successful program delivery. Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive project/program management experience, including leading large, complex programs. Experience delivering finance transformation or other significant finance-related programs. Proven ability to work directly with senior executives and communicate complex information clearly and concisely. Strong experience coordinating multiple Project Managers, stakeholders and workstreams. Experience in insurance, banking, financial services or another regulated industry is preferred. Exposure to SOX, NI 52-109, internal controls improvement or controls automation is an asset. Experience working with financial systems or ERP-related initiatives is an asset. CPA, PMP or PgMP designations are assets, but relevant experience and a strong delivery track record are the priority.
