General Role Info We are seeking two strategic, operational Portfolio Managers to join our client's Digital Technology team in Toronto. These roles go beyond traditional PMO execution—they require hands-on, transformational leaders who can manage workforce planning, portfolio financials, and operational health while building trust and executive alignment from the ground up. Role 1: Portfolio Manager – Data & Analytics (Managing an annual budget of ~$20M) Role 2: Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure, Engineering, & Operations (Managing an annual budget of ~$100M) Main Responsibilities Portfolio Strategy & Financials: Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals. Oversee portfolio financials, accurate forecasting, and cost management within your respective budget ($20M or $100M). Vendor & Contract Governance: Support third-party spend decisions, enforce vendor accountability, optimize contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Executive Stakeholder Management: Facilitate portfolio-level reporting, transparency, and governance for senior leadership and executive teams. Team Leadership & Delivery: Directly lead, coach, and empower a team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters to deliver high-value technology and business outcomes. Workforce & Change Management: Maintain strategic workforce plans to optimize skill distribution, while partnering with change management teams to drive complex, transformational initiatives. Must Haves 10+ years of project/program delivery experience with a proven track record of hands-on delivery. 5+ years of direct people management experience. Proven experience managing large portfolio budgets ($20M+ for Data & Analytics OR $100M+ for Infrastructure/Engineering). Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, Workforce Planning, and Transformational Change Management. Strong track record in Vendor Management, contract negotiation/enforcement, and third-party spend accountability. Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Nice to Haves Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Digital Agriculture, or Digital Manufacturing. Industry certifications such as PfMP, PgMP, or PMP. Deep familiarity with Agile development methodologies and portfolio management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project). Compensation & Work Model Salary Range: $115,000 – $145,000 CAD base per annum (commensurate with experience) Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Toronto, ON) Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent (FTE) Benefits: Comprehensive corporate health, vision, dental, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
