Senior Solutions Architect - Payment Solutions Number of openings: 1, contract role, 12month initial contract Location: Toronto, ON, CA Hybrid position - 3-4 d/week mandatory Must be eligible to work in Canada Roles and responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to drive technology architecture across Global Payment Solutions, supporting our client's Payments, Accounting Services, and Client Liquidity domains. Operating as an individual contributor within a global architecture team, you will align complex business strategy with enterprise technology standards, mitigating risk and delivering resilient end-to-end architectures. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Vision: Define and maintain solution architectures aligned with enterprise principles, platform standards, and strategic business goals. Domain Leadership: Provide technical and solution direction across Canada Payments, Corporate Channels, and Liquidity Management. End-to-End Design: Identify primary systems/subsystems, interfaces, and non-functional requirements; rapidly adapt designs as business needs evolve. Backlog & Delivery Guidance: Assist Product Managers and Owners in shaping and prioritizing tech-focused backlogs and architectural runways. Regulatory Alignment: Translate technical regulatory mandates into clear requirements for business and development teams. Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business, technology, compliance, and operations teams to resolve delivery impediments and define business case components. Must have skills/experience/quadfurcations: 10+ Years in Banking / Financial Services technology. 8+ Years focused explicitly on Solution Architecture & Design. Deep Canadian Payments Knowledge: Hands-on experience with RTR, Lynx, Interac, EFT, Wire, and general cash management processing. Standards & Domains: Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 payment standards, Corporate Payments, Corporate Channels, and Liquidity Management. Technical Breadth: Strong background across enterprise financial software, middleware, databases, and cloud architecture. Communication: Excellent ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both executive and engineering audiences across multiple architectural views.
