Job Description 2027 Winter – Communications Advisor Please note: This posting is for a Co-op Winter 2027 placement with a start date of January 11, 2027 and end-date of April 30, 2027 or August 2027 This is an in-person role In order to be eligible for this Winter Student position, you must either: Be returning back to school after the work term end-date in August 2027 If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April 2027), but you require the work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and curious Communication student to join the Personal Banking National Office. This role offers the opportunity to hone your skills, explore new concepts, and make an impact in a fast-paced environment. You’ll apply your education and creativity to support Personal Banking teams, helping to advance RBC’s strategic priorities. What will you do? Advise and support internal partners on communications strategies, key messages, and recommended materials. Deliver communications through a variety of communications channels – written, spoken, and visual. Act as a reverse mentor by sharing what you’ve learned through your education and experiences - from new tactical approaches to innovative measurement techniques. Perform other duties as required (ad hoc queries) What do you need to succeed? Must have Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution studying Bachelors in; Communications, English, or Journalism. Strong communications and change management skills. Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team. Advanced software skills, including proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Acrobat). Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain key relationships. Creative problem-solver who thinks outside the box. Deadline-driven with a strong work ethic.
