Backend Engineer — Infrastructure & AI Remote (US) | Up to $210k | 4-stage interview process Our client is a well-funded, high-growth technology company backed by leading venture investors. They build infrastructure software used by large global enterprises across a range of industries, and are actively expanding their product line into the AI space as demand grows in that area. The team places a strong emphasis on open source contribution and technical depth. This role sits at the intersection of the company's core infrastructure work and its newer AI-focused initiatives, with the opportunity to contribute to both. You'll work on backend systems for large-scale, distributed production environments, with exposure to enterprise customers and a voice in technical direction. Requirements: 5+ years as a software engineer 2+ years with containers, Kubernetes, and Golang Production experience building server-side systems at scale Experience with Kubernetes operators or controllers Nice to have: experience with distributed systems or networking infrastructure, exposure to emerging AI agent frameworks and protocols, open source contribution experience Logistics: Remote, US-based only, no visa sponsorship, up to $210k, 4-stage interview process

Requirements
Requires at least five years of software engineering experience, including at least two years working with containers, Kubernetes, and Golang. Candidates must have production experience building server-side systems at scale and experience with Kubernetes operators or controllers; distributed systems, networking infrastructure, AI agent frameworks and protocols, and open-source contributions are advantageous.
