[VOLUNTEER] Social Media Team Lead OR Event Coordinator

Rebelle Zine [re-BELL zeen] is a volunteer-run creative collective based in Toronto, Canada, focused on amplifying diverse women and/or queer creatives. We are looking for passionate volunteers to join our team in the following roles: Social Media Team Lead and Events Coordinator(s)! SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM LEAD This role is perfect for you if you're equal parts creative and organized. You love turning ideas into content, enjoy collaborating with people, and can keep projects moving while making sure everyone's strengths shine. Key Responsibilities: Lead social media team to effectively promote Rebelle Zine on social platforms Develop social media strategy for Instagram and TikTok Develop monthly content calendar Experience/Skills Required: Strong leadership skills Strong understanding of social media marketing tools and best practices (developing content calendars, boosting posts, incorporating current trends, etc.) Motivated and passionate about Rebelle Zine’s mission Comfortable with Discord and Google Workspace Commitment 5-10 hours/week Able to attend bi-weekly virtual team meetings EVENTS COORDINATOR Rebelle is entering a new chapter! We’re moving beyond print and into a more dynamic, community-driven space through digital and in-person experiences. We are looking for folks in Toronto/GTA to bring this vision to life. NOTE: Our Events Lead will be working remotely, so this role is for folks who can hold things down on the ground!! Key Responsibilities: Contribute event ideas and programming to the Events team Coordinate event logistics, such as registration, venue, decor, audiovisual equipment, and display Support on-site event execution and help ensure everything runs smoothly Experience/Skills Required: Strong time management/organization skills Strong understanding of all aspects that go into planning a community event Motivated and passionate about Rebelle Zine’s mission Comfortable with Discord, Google Workspace and Eventbrite Commitment 5-10 hours/week Able to attend bi-weekly virtual team meetings Able to be on-site (Toronto or GTA) for events Note: All team positions are unpaid, part-time, volunteer positions.
