Their job entails many of the duties a mechanic is expected to carry out, while additionally making sure their subordinates' work meets quality standards and all tasks are completed safely and in a timely matter. Salary Range: $145,000 - $176,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paid Job Summary Mechanic: The primary role of the Underground or Surface Mechanic is to perform preventive maintenance and repairs diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated equipment. This includes mobile equipment hoists, compressors, drills, small tools and miscellaneous equipment of a similar nature. Requirements
Requires a minimum of 3 years of underground mechanical experience and a Journeyman level qualification or certificate. Experience with Cat and Sandvik equipment is preferred.
