Job summary

Are you ready to lead a talented team in building robust tools and systems that power our products and support our studio in building great games? Don’t miss out on this opportunity. Why Choose Reflector: Make your mark on an iconic IP. The game we’re developing belongs to a cherished Bandai Namco IP with a fanbase in the millions! Your job is to optimize the engine and build the tools required that bring it to life. Lead a dedicated team. Mentor and guide talented programmers in building the technology that powers the entire studio. Enjoy more than just meetings. We’re all for hybrid setups, but endless Teams calls aren’t our thing. We like to kick off milestones, collaborate, fast-track ideas, share progress (snacks, too!), and celebrate achievements live and in-person. Feel supported on all fronts. Not only can you count on your team to help you solve the most creative of challenges, but we’ve also got you covered with generous health and dental coverage and ample time off starting from day one. How You’ll Spend Your Days: Partnering with the Technical Director and other technical managers to set priorities, define the tool development plan, and communicate it clearly across production. Collaborating with programming, art, animation, audio, and design managers to assess their technology needs while maintaining a healthy production pipeline. Balancing hands-on code development reviews and technical designs while also unblocking complex problems via day-to-day team management. Setting clear goals for each team member, holding regular one-on-ones, and providing direct, constructive feedback to support their growth. Mobilizing your team around a shared vision, fostering alignment constructively, and representing their needs to management and other stakeholders. What You Offer: A solid understanding of the French language. You must be legally authorized to work in Canada. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent education and experience. Five or more years of experience in the video game industry as a team leader, having shipped at least one title. Excellent C++ and/or C# programming skills, with strong knowledge of multithreading, optimization, and Unreal Engine 5. Hands-on experience with tools such as Perforce, Visual Studio, JIRA, and performance profiling tools like Unreal Insights. Demonstrated experience managing teams, including goal setting, coaching, and team member development. If you’re ready to take the next step in your technology leadership career, apply now.
