Shipping/Receiving JOB SUMMARY As a Shipping/Receiving team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our organization. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, records, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate efficient logistics operations. HERE’S WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE! * Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy by comparing them to packing slips, purchase orders, and other relevant documents. * Determine and coordinate the next steps for items requiring further processing. * Organize and stage items for job number, assembly, sub-assembly, etc. * Utilize ERP system and other tracking documents to search and enter relevant information. * Notify the appropriate personnel of any discrepancies or damages in received goods and collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor to address and resolve such issues. * Organize and distribute incoming materials to the respective departments or individuals. * Communicate any delivery or quality-related concerns to the Supervisors or or Quality Manager for prompt resolution. * Track inventory levels and initiate requisitions for restocking automation supplies, ensuring that sufficient stock is maintained at all times. * Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment and ensure their safe storage and organization within the facility. * Prepare subcontracted goods for shipping back to suppliers, following established procedures and documentation requirements. * Coordinate with the purchasing and project management teams to determine the disposition or distribution of leftover materials from completed projects. * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain an organized work area, following guidelines outlined. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth functioning of shipping and receiving operations. The value you bring to our company! * Four (4) to five (5) years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment. * Proficiency in working steady afternoon shifts to accommodate operational needs. * High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., Grade 12 O.S.S.D.). * Strong oral and written communication skills, along with basic computer literacy. * Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, cross- functional departments, and external suppliers. * Excellent organizational skills and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment. * Working knowledge and background in material handling practices. * Familiarity with basic hand tools and their utilization in shipping/receiving tasks. * Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. * Willingness and ability to obtain certification for operating lift trucks and overhead cranes as required by the job. * Drivers abstract must be provided as deliveries and pick ups are a required task in this role What if I don’t meet every requirement Don’t meet every single requirement?
