Position Overview The Residential Sales Representative is a key operations-focused role responsible for driving residential sales growth within a designated Canadian market. This professional serves as the face of the brand to the local community, protecting homes and families by identifying pest infestations and proposing expert solutions. The incumbent is expected to execute the company’s sales process with high proficiency, managing the full sales cycle from inspection to contract execution and follow-up. Key Relationships The Representative works closely with branch leadership and internal teams to ensure service excellence and revenue growth: Branch Leadership: Partners with the Branch Manager to identify local revenue streams and drive market engagement. Operations & Service: Collaborates with Technicians and Branch Managers to ensure clear communication of customer needs and service challenges. Customer Support: Partners with the Customer Service Center and Inside Sales department to maximize lead opportunities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Inspection & Solution Design: Conduct thorough visual inspections of residential properties to identify pest harborage, entry points, and infestations. Develop professional proposals and treatment instructions aligned with company policy and Canadian regulations. Sales Execution: Meet or exceed monthly Base Line Sales Targets (BST) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the sale of pest management services and Year-Round Protection Plans. Lead Management: Effectively manage and follow up on all sales leads, including phone-ins, web forms, and field-generated opportunities within 24 hours. Account Maintenance: Maintain accurate records in the CRM, including completing home diagrams, tracking job sales, and managing contract renewals. Customer Excellence: Provide a consultative sales experience, conducting post-service follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and develop future prospects. Safety & Compliance: Maintain all company equipment and vehicles in clean, working order while strictly adhering to safety protocols and state/provincial licensing requirements. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance will be measured against regional standards for the Canadian market: Base Line Sales Target (BST): Consistency in meeting monthly total sales goals. Closing & Conversion Rates: Maintaining standard benchmarks for converting leads into active service contracts. Revenue Growth: Focused tracking of both Job Sales and ongoing Contract Sales. Customer Satisfaction: Client retention and feedback metrics. Qualifications and Requirements Education: Post-secondary required. Experience: 1–2 years of experience in pest management service or professional sales is preferred. Licensing: Valid driver’s license from the current province of residence is required. Skills: Strong communication, social, and customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse client base. Travel: Ability to travel up to 100% of the time within the assigned territory. Physical Demands and Working Conditions The incumbent must be physically capable of performing field inspections in various environments: Mobility: Regularly required to climb ladders and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently. Environments: Must be comfortable working in confined spaces (basements, attics, crawl spaces) and dealing with various pests. Equipment: Required to safely operate a motor vehicle and occasionally wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including compliant respirators.
