Areas of expertise include roofing and sealant replacement, exterior cladding systems, windows and doors, waterproofing, structural repairs, and ongoing maintenance work. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Metro Vancouver A, BC. The Carpenter will perform a variety of building envelope and structural carpentry tasks, including framing, rot and structural repairs, installation of rain-screen cladding systems, and finish carpentry work. Daily responsibilities include working with hand tools and power tools, assisting with window and door replacement, deck and foundation-related repairs, and collaborating with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and quality standards. The role also involves reading and interpreting drawings, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and following company safety procedures and COR standards. Qualifications Strong carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry, with experience in residential or commercial construction. Proficiency using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of building envelope systems, exterior cladding, and basic waterproofing techniques is an asset. Understanding and adherence to construction safety practices; COR-related experience is an advantage. Physical ability to perform demanding site work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights, in varying weather conditions. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to quality workmanship and meeting project deadlines. Previous experience as a Carpenter or relevant trade certification/apprenticeship is preferred.
