Job Description We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager at our Edmonton, AB branch. The Warehouse Manager is in direct contact with the employees in the warehouse. He/she oversees the operations and directly supervises and coordinates the work of all the employees attached to the Hub warehouse. How You Will Thrive With Us Oversee the operations of the Hub warehouse. Prepare work schedules to ensure workflow meets or exceeds customer service standards. Enforces and monitors established work procedures. Monitors staffing services and ensures adequate numbers to meet the production levels. Proactively analyzes performance reports to continually improve warehouse productivity. Conducts daily meetings with warehouse team to discuss workplan and any current concerns/ problems to determine solutions. Ensure employees are trained in proper processes and sub-processes, as well as equipment usage, material handling and maintenance. Develop policies and procedures to meet the requirements of Total Quality. Ensure proper health and safety practices are followed at all levels in the warehouse. Discuss disciplinary action of the team members with District Operations Manager. Provide an environment of team culture and continual improvement Ensures compliance with the Company policies, and /or guidelines, maintains the layout of the shelving area and warehouse, taking into consideration productivity, inventory, turnover, size, weight and other relevant factors. Ensure customer service standards are met. Maintains internal business controls to ensure compliance with goals. Determines purchasing requirement for equipment, machines and supplies. Advises District Operations Manager of new technologies available to maintain efficiency. Arrange shipping schedules to meet the immediate needs of customers and branches. Prepare reports on commitment levels, Monitor and maintain warehouse KPI benchmarks and maintenance schedules. Ensure all vehicles operate in full compliance with provincial and federal legislation. Prepare reports on all repairs and maintenance received on trucks, machinery and equipment. Maintains 24-hour, 7-day emergency support for branch and internal functions. Ensures maintenance of facility is scheduled in compliance with company and legal standards to minimize emergency costs. Qualifications Grade 12 education or equivalent Team player with excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a comparable supervisory role within a Warehouse environment. Knowledgeable and experienced in Lean methodology Knowledgeable and experienced in 6S methodology Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to operate and train on reach and lift trucks. Knowledgeable and experienced with Health and Safety practices within a Warehouse environment. Requirements
