Reporting to the Design & Showroom Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping clients transform their workplaces into functional, inspiring, and efficient environments. In this role, you'll partner with clients, designers, contractors, sales professionals, and project teams to develop innovative workspace solutions that align with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines. As a trusted advisor, you'll lead projects from initial consultation through implementation, providing expert guidance on space planning, furniture solutions, workplace design, and project coordination. You'll also play a key role in mentoring team members, fostering collaboration, and driving successful project outcomes. What You Will Do Partner with clients, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to understand workplace requirements and develop tailored space planning solutions. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify measurements, evaluate electrical requirements, and inventory furniture assets for potential reuse. Develop workplace concepts, floor plans, furniture layouts, design presentations, and mock-up drawings that support client objectives and enhance the user experience. Collaborate with sales teams to create conceptual designs, provide furniture recommendations, and support project budgeting and cost analysis. Research workplace trends, furniture solutions, and product innovations to develop creative and practical design recommendations. Coordinate with workspace planners, project coordinators, vendors, and consultants to ensure designs, specifications, finishes, schedules, and project requirements are accurately executed. Prepare project documentation including furniture budgets, project summaries, installation packages, specifications, and client presentations. Monitor project progress, participate in project meetings, and provide ongoing communication and status updates to clients and project teams. Review project details, billing information, and deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with client expectations. Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to team members while supporting the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects. Identify challenges, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions that balance functionality, aesthetics, timelines, and budget requirements. What You Will Bring Interior Design degree, diploma, certification, or a related discipline. 7+ years of progressive experience in commercial interiors, workplace design, space planning, or commercial furniture consulting, with a proven ability to develop client-focused solutions. Proficiency with workplace planning and design software; AutoCAD experience is required. Proven ability to develop client-focused workplace solutions, from concept development and furniture layouts to specifications, finish selections, and presentations. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent client relationship, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching team members. A proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to exceptional client service and high-quality results. A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for occasional travel related to work responsibilities; mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
