The Role As a Business Development Representative at RHK (reporting directly to the Business Development Manager), you will be the driving force behind generating new business and expanding existing accounts within your assigned territory. In this dynamic, customer-facing role, you will manage the entire sales cycle—from active prospecting, cold calling, and lead qualification to solution selling, negotiation, and closing. You will serve as the primary link between our clients and internal technical/operations teams, articulating our unique value proposition and ensuring seamless post-sale support. Backed by your strong understanding of industrial systems and proficiency in CRM management, you will leverage pipeline analytics to forecast revenue, uncover new market opportunities, and build long-lasting client relationships that foster repeat business and sustained growth. Key Responsibilities Research and identify new business opportunities, untapped markets, and dormant accounts through cold calling, networking, referrals, and trade shows. Conduct discovery meetings to evaluate customer challenges, budgets, timelines, and technical requirements. Track and manage leads, opportunities, and communications within the CRM system, utilizing analytics to forecast revenue and monitor performance. Lead in-person and virtual meetings, collaborate with technical sales and engineering support, and present tailored solutions to address client pain points. Navigate negotiations on pricing, delivery, and service terms to secure purchase orders, contracts, and manage internal order hand-offs. Provide post-sale support, act as a liaison with operations teams, and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business. Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities, relaying strategic feedback to product development and management teams. Participate in regular sales meetings, coordinate with marketing for promotional campaigns, and contribute to a team-oriented environment. What We Are Looking For Education: Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Proven experience in Outside Sales or a similar customer-facing role, ideally within a technical or industrial manufacturing environment. Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of technical products and industrial systems. Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, communication, and time-management abilities. Software Proficiency: Experience using CRM software to track sales activities and customer interactions. Requirements: A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel extensively to client sites and industry events.
