About the Opportunity RhynoCare is seeking an experienced Cook to work in Long Term Care facilities in Haliburton, ON. You will be hired and onboarded with RhynoCare as an Independent Contractor. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and menu plans ensuring all standards are met. Ensure meals are served at the appropriate temperature and in a timely manner. Assisting with the serving of meals to residents ensuring resident food preferences are respected. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling of food. Collaborate with dietary staff to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents. Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager in control of food costs, waste, and ordering. Monitor food inventory and communicate to the appropriate channels to coordinate ordering of supplies. Ensure all Public Health and Ministry of Long-Term Care requirements are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist with special events and catering as required. Demonstrate commitment to Rhynocare’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care by upholding the values of discipline, integrity, collaboration, and empowerment. Requirements Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act required.
