About the Opportunity: RhynoCare is seeking an experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) to work in Retirement facilities in Sudbury, ON. Position Overview As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being and comfort of all patients. Responsibilities Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care in accordance with resident care plans and organizational policies. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Support residents with transfers, repositioning, and safe ambulation as required. Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioral condition to the appropriate nursing staff. Maintain residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, and choice during all interactions. Follow established infection prevention and control practices and workplace safety procedures. Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Complete accurate and timely documentation as required. Respond appropriately to resident needs and emergencies and seek assistance when required. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to providing high-quality resident care. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Proficient verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset. Must meet one of the following criteria: Successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) from a Community College or a school approved by the National Association of Career Colleges OR RN/RPN students with successful completion of Year 1 Experience working as a Facility PSW is considered an asset.
