Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician at our Portage la Prairie, MB location. A Quality Assurance technician is responsible for ensuring raw material, in-process blends and finished products meet food safety and quality requirements. Responsibilities: Gather product samples within the manufacturing environment Conduct inspection & testing on finished product according to specifications Analyze product for characteristics such as moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and apply all test information into the database Initiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specification Create and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon request Collect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parameters Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills Must be willing to work day and night shifts, as well as overtime Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset Richardson International provides a comprehensive compensation package consisting of a competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan, and training and career development opportunities.
