Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Associate to join our high-performing wealth management team in the Calgary office. This role is well suited to a proactive professional with strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills, who is interested in growing within a client-focused advisory environment. Role & Responsibilities: Investment Advisor Support: • Prepare, analyze, and present customized client materials, including Investment Policy Statements, portfolio evaluations, financial plans, client reviews, commentaries, and investment proposals. • Assist with portfolio management activities, including trading equity, fixed income, money market securities, and other investment products as appropriate. • Contribute to business development and client engagement initiatives, including marketing materials, newsletters, website updates, and client events. Client Service: • Deliver an exceptional client experience through timely, professional, and accurate communication. • Build strong client relationships through proactive service calls and anticipating client needs. • Attend client, prospect, and annual review meetings, including preparation, notes, and follow-up. • Maintain accurate client records and ensure account, documentation, trading, and regulatory requirements are met. Administration and Compliance: • Prepare and process account documentation, compliance updates, client instructions, contributions, tax-related inquiries. • Review client files and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm standards. • Support the team’s operational effectiveness by prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and contributing to a culture of risk management and service excellence. Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services, with an interest in investments and financial planning. • Commitment to continued learning. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, solve problems, and meet deadlines. • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team. • Driven to learn and grow, with initiative to work independently, collaborate with the team, and develop expertise in new technologies and systems. Education • An undergraduate degree. • Licensed, or willing to become licensed within 6 months, with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) as an Investment Representative. • Enrollment in, or intention to pursue, the CFP, CFA, or a similar professional designation is an asset. Requirements
