What We Offer: An opportunity to join one of the leading fast-paced financial advisory teams in the downtown Toronto office. As an Associate the incumbent will contribute to growing the business by supporting the Investment Advisors, ensuring high-level client service, and providing dedicated specialized administrative support on diverse assignments. This is an existing vacancy. Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Trading: • Support investment advisors with preparing reports for investment policy statements, performance, financial plans, retirement projections, client reviews and proposals • Trading support for Investment Advisors Administrative Support & Action at Tax Time: • Preparing account opening documentation, transfer authorizations, investment policy statements and KYC documentation for individuals, corporations and trusts • Registered plan contributions • Prepare book value adjustments, donation of appreciated securities, subscription agreements, address updates, etc. • Communication with tax accountants and collection and coordination of tax slips, statements, realized gain/loss reports, etc. during tax season Client Service: • Provide a high level of client service which includes responding to phone, mail and email • Transferring cash to client bank accounts, wire transfers in and out, confirming receipt of funds and transfers • Delivering proactive and quality communication to ensure clients are continually updated of details related to their accounts Qualifications: • 3-5 years’ experience in the financial services industry • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail • Ability to take initiative and work independently • Commitment to learning new technologies, programs, and systems • Understanding of industry compliance regulations • Team hours are 7:30am – 4:00pm • Hybrid Work Requirement: Candidates must be able to work from our Toronto office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Education: • An undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Business/Economics or related field • Must be licensed with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) as an Investment Representative (IR) The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $60,000-$90,000. The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, and the consideration of internal equity. Requirements
