Position Overview As a New Grad Staff Accountant, you will support the planning, preparation, and execution of accounting and tax-related tasks across various client engagements. Working closely with fellow staff, senior accountants and managers within the audit team, you will assist Canadian companies with domestic and international operations, as well as foreign companies investing in Canada, contributing to both ongoing and transactional projects. Key Responsibilities * Assist in the preparation of financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation in compliance with accounting standards, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements * Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger with precision * Leverage accounting software and Excel to facilitate reporting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives * Collaborate effectively with team members on client engagements and internal accounting projects Your Qualifications * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field * Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas), Word, and PowerPoint * Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to develop creative solutions (include examples in your CV or cover letter) * Must be interested in pursuing the CPA designation; enrolment or intention to follow the CPA track is preferred * Working knowledge of accounting or tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxPrep) is an asset * Must be legally eligible to work in Canada What We Offer * A hybrid work environment in our Toronto office * Access to a CFE Prep program, a dedicated mentor, paid study leave, and financial support to support your CPA designation journey * Exposure to high-impact, real-world cases across a variety of industries * The opportunity to become a strategic business partner with our clients, building relationships directly with entrepreneurs and businesses and providing meaningful advisory services * Direct mentorship and training from senior professionals, with opportunities to develop your career supported by managers and firm partners * A culture that values work-life balance, mental health, and well-being, including flexible hours and resources to support your personal journey * Investment in continuing education and professional development through a variety of learning opportunities and tuition reimbursement * Employee and family access to a virtual healthcare network and Employee and Family Assistance Programs, including consultations with mental health professionals * Talent referral bonus The salary range for this position is $60,000–$65,000, and employees may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
