Conference & Hospitality Team Lead (Toronto) Our client, a leading global professional services organization, is seeking a Conference & Hospitality Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of its premium client conference centre, hospitality services, and reception function within its Toronto office. Key Responsibilities Conference & Client Experience Lead the daily operation of a high-profile conference floor, ensuring all meeting rooms and client-facing spaces are maintained to exceptional standards. Coordinate internal and external meetings, including room setup, catering, hospitality, and meeting logistics. Act as the primary point of contact for conference operations, proactively managing scheduling conflicts, last-minute requests, and service delivery. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless client and meeting experience. Develop and maintain service standards and operating procedures that support a premium professional environment. Hospitality & Catering Leadership Lead, coach, schedule, and develop a conference and hospitality team, fostering a culture of accountability and exceptional client service. Oversee catering operations, food and beverage service, meeting support, inventory management, and hospitality standards. Manage third-party vendor relationships, service quality, and hospitality-related budgets and invoices. Support the planning and execution of client events, receptions, and firm functions. Reception & Front-of-House Operations Oversee reception services, ensuring every client and visitor receives a professional and welcoming experience. Ensure appropriate staffing coverage while supporting peak periods and high-profile meetings. Establish visitor management protocols, service standards, and escalation procedures. Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the overall client experience. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in conference services, hospitality, catering, reception, or client-facing operations within a corporate, professional services, luxury hospitality, or similar environment. Previous leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, scheduling, training, and performance management. Experience within a law firm, professional services firm, private club, luxury hotel, or other high-service environment is highly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and service standards. Experience managing vendors, budgets, inventory, and service delivery. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using meeting room booking or event management systems. Fluent English required; French is considered an asset. Flexibility to support occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend events. Working Arrangement This is a highly visible, client-facing leadership role requiring a significant on-site presence in downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will work a minimum of four days per week in the office, with five days preferred to support operational needs. While core business hours are generally Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the role requires flexibility to support an operational window of approximately 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as well as occasional after-hours meetings, client events, and receptions.
