Job summary

We are recruiting a $100,000 HR & Payroll Generalist for a non-unionized manufacturer in Laval (hybrid: onsite 3x/week). Reporting to the U.S.-based HR team, you will serve as the primary HR contact for Canada, supporting employees across Quebec and Ontario. This is an individual contributor role with a strong focus on human resources (80%) and payroll administration (20%), handling payroll for about 50 non-unionized employees, processed biweekly (salaried and hourly). Qualifications Fluent English and solid working French. 2+ years of experience in both human resources and payroll processing. Experience supporting employee relations and general HR activities. Experience processing payroll for Canadian employees (Quebec and Ontario preferred). Knowledge of provincial employment standards and payroll legislation. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP is considered an asset). Responsibilities Act as the primary HR resource for employees and managers in Quebec and Ontario. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and HR administration. Support employee relations by responding to HR inquiries and advising managers on day-to-day people matters. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. Process biweekly payroll for approximately 50 salaried and hourly, non-unionized employees across Quebec and Ontario.
