Job summary

Position Department: Student Experience Position Type: Staff Part-Time Overview: RMU Bands is looking for a temporary part-time program assistant to help organize and execute performances at a variety of athletic events throughout the fall semester. This position will be filled until a new Full-time Band Director is hired. Responsibilities: * Assist in instruction of the show band and auxiliary, along with pep and jazz bands and wind ensemble * Supervise students at performances, rehearsals and trips. * Help to coordinate performances for athletic, university and community functions. * Represent the band program at recruitment and orientation events. * Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree required * Experience in relevant work experience with college-aged students. * Knowledge of instrumental music and band presentation. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Ability to assist with producing show-style marching band, pep bands, jazz and wind bands. Strong customer-service orientation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Required to Pass a Motor Vehicle Report Check.
