Benefits: Company parties Competitive salary Health insurance About the Role We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join the Nitro Electric team! In this role, the successful candidate will bring a strong background in electrical work, including experience in industrial environments, along with confidence working with a wide range of electrical systems, tools, and equipment. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented and capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics to complete installations, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with all applicable safety standards and electrical codes. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine electrical layouts and specifications. Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment. Install and service low-voltage systems, including lighting controls, security systems, and telecommunications wiring. Perform routine electrical maintenance and support renovation and construction projects as required. Collaborate with other trades and project team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification. Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. What We’re Looking For Proven experience working as an electrician, with industrial and/or commercial experience considered an asset. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Experience with low-voltage systems is an asset. Familiarity with construction and renovation processes is an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. What You’ll Need A valid Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal or equivalent). A valid Manitoba license and a reliable vehicle to get to job sites.
