Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and HVAC units to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete plumbing tasks effectively. Perform heavy lifting as necessary for the installation of pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites. Qualifications Valid Journeyperson Certificate (Red Seal). Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools. Experience in carpentry and assembly tasks related to plumbing installations. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
