This is a rare opportunity to define and lead our brand, PR, content, and demand-generation strategy from the ground up. Position Summary We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing to build and scale a modern marketing function. Reporting directly to VP Sales & Marketing, this role will lead all aspects of marketing: including brand, content, performance marketing, PR, marketing operations and analytics, and work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive measurable growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. Experience scaling high growth early-stage companies from Seed/Series A – Series B/C is what we’re looking for. The right candidate has an analytical mindset, and the ability to shape and communicate compelling narratives. A background in journalism, PR, or content is a strong asset. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a focused marketing strategy aligned to business objectives and revenue goals Act as a member of the corporate leadership team, contributing to departmental planning and decision-making Provide strategic input into product development, GTM strategy, and EOS Dispatch alignment Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external consultants Brand, Content & Communications Define and elevate Rodan’s brand voice across all channels and assets Lead content strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels (e.g., thought leadership, webinars, case studies, PR, newsjacking and social) Oversee PR strategy and media relations, including agency management Demand Generation & Performance Own and scale a multi-channel demand engine (email, digital, paid, events, partnerships) Drive booked meetings for sellers as a core performance KPI Build robust measurement frameworks to track ROI, funnel performance, CAC, LTV, and attribution Optimize the marketing tech stack and implement scalable campaign processes Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align messaging and GTM plans Provide marketing insights to inform product development, pricing, and customer experience initiatives Manage and collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to execute marketing initiatives Qualifications 8+ years of progressive marketing experience in B2B SaaS, cleantech, or adjacent industries Demonstrated success building or scaling a modern marketing function Proven ability to lead brand, content, and demand generation strategies with measurable impact Strong analytical mindset: comfortable with accountability for marketing KPIs and budget management Prior success leading growth through account based marketing strategies Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; background in journalism, PR, or editorial is a strong asset Experience managing agencies, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders Thrives in a dynamic, fast-growth environment; entrepreneurial and resourceful Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field a preference but not required Location: Hybrid - Mississauga HQ (3 days per week expected) Rodan Benefits Include: Salary Range: $120,000k - $150,000k Comprehensive health and wellness benefits Flexible hybrid or remote work environment Generous vacation, wellness days, and annual learning and development budget Apply Now: If you’re a strategic leader passionate about innovation and driving growth in a rapidly evolving industry, we want to hear from you!
