Referral bonus program! Job Profile The Electrical Engineer creates designs, writes technical specifications, implements new electrical systems and updates older designs to use modern technology. The engineer group's goal is to develop modern designs using latest technologies to improve functionality, reduce troubleshooting time, and reduce manufacturing costs. The position works within an application engineering group that develops continuous boring machines, conveyor solutions and other mining support equipment. Primary Responsibilities Assist both Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers in the design of Determine methods and actions to remedy malfunctions or manufacturing shortcomings FAT testing of mining equipment before shipping Electrical power design both 600V and 4160V systems Motor control, cable size and protective device settings Become familiar with ETAP Load flow and short circuit analysis. Qualifications Completion of a BSc. Engineering degree Minimum 2 years of experience Relative BEV and Mining experience an asset APEGS P.Eng. certification or ability to obtain Additional Qualifications That Would Be Considered An Asset Panel layout and interconnections Experience in mobile machine electrical and PLC control systems Experience working Autodesk environment - Vault Manufacturing and AutoCAD Electrical Low/Medium voltage power system design - 600V/4160V Panel layouts and interconnections Conduit and cabling design

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience. A P.Eng. certification from APEGS or the ability to obtain one is required.
