Senior Financial Analyst

Overview Our client is a not for profit organization that has been a leader in providing affordable housing for seniors for over 50 years. Currently they are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a 4 to 6 month contract assignment. This role reports to the Controller. Responsibilities: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for Financial Statement Reconciliations and Finance Team Process Documentation. Specific duties include: Complete financial account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts, including working paper reconciliations. Develop process documents for all finance team functions, ensuring an internal control over financial reporting assessment questionnaire and process to be completed annually and signed off by all executives prior to the completion of each fiscal year Prepare intercompany reconciliation and invoicing Complete Ad hoc reconciliations, such as Internet AP billing reconciliation with AR resident billing Review and redevelopment of a finance deliverable checklist ensuring timelines are communicated well in advance of key deadlines Requirements: A Chartered Professional Accounting Designation Prefer working knowledge of not-for-profit accounting and accounting for registered charities Experience in preparing financial statements, working with auditors in a sophisticated organization Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Advanced Excel skills Experience with Yardi an asset

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for completing financial account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts. They will also develop and maintain process documentation for finance team functions and internal control assessments.

Candidates must hold a Chartered Professional Accounting designation and possess advanced Excel skills. Experience with Yardi and knowledge of not-for-profit or registered charity accounting is preferred.
